Restrictions and error messages
The Upload Portal has some limitations.
Non-DICOM files cannot be uploaded without a DICOM file.
Non-DICOM files must be linked to a study.
A maximum of 10 DICOM files can be uploaded at once.
The file upload limit is configured by the hospital.
The table below lists possible error messages you might see while using the upload portal, along with their descriptions and solutions.
Error message
Description
Solution
You can only upload non-DICOM files if you also upload at least one DICOM file
The upload portal requires that non-DICOM files are uploaded with at least 1 DICOM file.
This error message is displayed if you attempt to add a non-DICOM file without a DICOM file.
You do not need to reset or start from the beginning, simply select a DICOM file to upload.
The non-DICOM files will be automatically linked to the newly added DICOM file, allowing you to initiate your upload.
Total file size exceeds the limit
The number of uploaded files can be limited by the hospital.
The amount of files (in GB) is limited per session. This limit is configured by the Hospital/Institution and is between 0-10 GB. If you exceed this limit, you will need to remove studies from the upload portal until you reach the desired max GB.
If you have multiple studies that exceed the limit, request a new upload code to upload the rest of the studies.
If 1 study exceeds the limit, the hospital/institution will need to allow larger studies.
Please add the following files to a study or remove them
Non-DICOM files need to be linked to a study. When multiple DICOM studies are added to the upload portal, the non-DICOM files cannot be automatically linked. You will need to manually link the non-DICOM files to a study.
Select the files by clicking on them. This document icon will change to a checkmark icon. You can select multiple files to link to a study.
Click on the Add {0} selected files to study button.
Select the desired study from the drop-down.
The non-DICOM files will be added to the specified study and will no longer be displayed above the study.
Currently added 'x' non-DICOM files. Adding these would surpass the maximum of 10 non-DICOM files that can be added to a study.
It is not possible to add more than 10 non-DICOM files to a study.
If multiple DICOM studies have been added to the upload portal and 1 or more non-DICOM files was added, all non-DICOM files must be either linked to a study or removed.
To proceed with the upload, reduce the number of selected non-DICOM files to 10.
